Electronics

Sensitive, expensive, urgent.

Direct transports for electronics and hightech. Assemblies, test equipment and server hardware travel without transhipment, secured individually and insured to their value on request.

No transhipment, no stacking
Insurance to the value of the goods
Confidential handling
Direkt! Kurierfahrzeug

Electronics tolerate very little: shocks, moisture, stacking and above all repeated transhipment in groupage traffic. At the same time the value of a single pallet quickly exceeds anything the law will ever compensate.

On a direct run the shipment is loaded once and unloaded once. Nothing happens in between. For the value of the goods we arrange cargo insurance where needed, so the cover matches what is actually on board.

Typical jobs.

Assemblies and modules

Missing components for production, collected from the supplier at short notice.

Test equipment

Calibrated instruments between sites, customers and calibration laboratories.

Server hardware

Racks and components into the data centre, often within a tight window.

Prototypes

Pre-series samples handled confidentially and with no reference to the load.

Why Direkt!

Low vibration

Sensitive shipments are secured individually and never loaded under other cargo.

Cover that fits the value

Statutory liability rarely suffices for electronics. We raise the insurance question before the journey.

Timing matters

Deliveries into data centres or production get a fixed time slot.

Frequent questions

Electronics in detail.

Why is statutory liability a problem for electronics?
Because it is based on weight, not value. At 8.33 units of account per kilogram, a 20 kilogram shipment worth 20,000 euros is covered only to a fraction of its value.
How do I arrange cargo insurance?
Tell us the value of the goods when you book and we arrange the cover before the journey. It cannot be added afterwards.
How are ESD sensitive components handled?
Protection against electrostatic discharge lies in the packaging, meaning ESD bags and suitable outer packaging provided by the sender. We make sure that packaging is not damaged.
Will the cargo be stacked?
No, provided you mark the shipment as non-stackable or tell us. On a direct run there is no other cargo on board anyway.
Are deliveries into data centres possible?
Yes. These usually require pre-registration, identification and fixed time slots. Tell us the requirements and we will brief the driver.
